In contrast to a fully managed provider, our involvement in day-to-day care is minimal, making it more of a collaborative effort involving family members and the carer to ensure everything runs smoothly.
In essence, we’ll assist you in finding suitable placements that match your requirements, but you’ll be directly contracted by the family you assist as an independent carer, not by us.
Our services includes: Live in care, Hourly rate care, Companionship, Respite care, Overnight care, Hospital discharge
Care Navigate will:
- Assist you or your loved one in finding the most suitable self-employed carer and will also help source a replacement or substitute professional on an ongoing basis, if needed.
- Offer payroll services for your home self-employed carer.
- Regular check-ins will also be conducted to ensure your satisfaction with the service.
Care Navigate will handle the entire process, which includes interviewing self-employed candidates, performing DBS and background checks, and seeking references for each candidate. Additionally, care certificate training will be offered to those who require it. This training encompasses important aspects of care such as safeguarding vulnerable adults and children, medication administration, emergency first aid, infection control, health and safety, fire safety, food safety & nutrition, and moving and handling.
Payment for our services will be made via Care Navigate, and we request that payments be settled upon receipt of the weekly invoice. It’s important to note that the contract will be between you and the staff member, as you will be employing them, and they will be responsible for their own tax affairs.
To ensure continuity of care, we recommend that our clients choose two care workers. This allows for the possibility of discussing a rotation system with them, where Care Worker A works for weeks 1 and 2, and Care Worker B works for week 3 and 4, but ultimately, the choice is entirely yours.
